Brilliant Joe Bio

The Covenant House Band has been performing in and around Southern Ontario
for more than a decade. This year (2008) the band decided to change its name to avoid confusion with the great Hospices in Southern Ontario known by the same label. Now called Brilliant joe - the name change coincides with the release of the new CD "vapours", a 12 song effort of distinctive musical variety. Featuring nine original tunes with 2 additional numbers by Van Morrison,
and a new arrangement of a great Hymn by the legendary Fanny J Crosby, the CD appeals to a diverse listening audience.

The band's members are: Michelle Presley - vocals and guitar; Sue Gardhouse - vocals, piano, keys and guitar; Dave Hatcher - drums and percussion; Ted Gerber - vocals, guitar and keys and Frank Goudreault - vocals and bass.The band is joined on the CD by friends Larry Kurtz - harmonica; Ryan Grist - sax and Barbara Olorenshaw - violin.

The band's members attend 5 different Orangeville area churches. The variety of its musical roots reflect the diversity of its members, each with his or her own story to tell.
